Sprint Cars and Micros headline Open Wheel Mayhem on Friday, with Weekly Racing on Saturday.

Terry Mattox - SAPULPA, Okla. (May 6, 2014) - This Friday night, the American Bank of Okla. ASCS Sooner Region makes their first appearance of 2014 at the Creek County Speedway. Also joining the program for the second time this season is the National Open Wheel 600 Series Restricted and A-Class divisions. And for the first time ever the Wingless Oklahoma Warrior Wingless Sprint Series will invade “The Creek.”

The birth place of the American Sprint Car Series, the Sooner Region arm of the ASCS Nation will visit the Creek County Speedway for the first time this season. After four rounds of the 2014 season, four different winners have emerged victorious. Dustin Morgan leads the point standings coming into “Open Wheel Mayhem” with a 51 point lead over Mike Goodman. Others to look forward to are, Alex Sewell, Sean McClelland, Kyle Chady, Harli White and much more!

For the second time this season, the A-Class and Restricted divisions of the National Open Wheel 600 Series will invade the Creek County Speedway this Friday night. After three events have been put into the record books, Bailey Felkins holds a nine point lead over Tim Kent in the NOW600 A-Class division. Jason Collins sits in third, with Garrett Olson and Chris Cochran rounding out the top five.

In the NOW600 Restricted division, Cole Roberts leads, Trent Griggs by 59 points. Matt Moore currently sits in third, with Taylor Reimer and Kelsey Gray rounding out the top five.

For the first time ever, the stars and cars of the Wingless Oklahoma Warriors Wingless Sprint Car Series will invade new territory this Friday night. Koby Barksdale holds a five point lead over Shelby Byrd. Gil White holds down the third spot, with DeWayne Forsgren and Casey Jones round out the top five.

Gates on Friday are set to open at 5:00, and Racing is set to begin at 8:00.

General Admission for Friday night is as followed: Adults: $15; Kids 10-14: $7, and Children under 10: Free. Pitpasses: $30

Fast Five Weekly Series racing resumes on Saturday night with action in all five classes: Champ Sprints, A-Modifieds, Dwarf Cars, Mini Stocks and Factory Stocks.

On Saturday, Gates open at 4:30; Hotlaps at 6:30; and the green flag flies at 7:00!

Tickets for Saturday are just $10 for Adults, Kids 10-14 $6 and children under 10 are always FREE! Pit Passes $30.

Load up the kids, call your mother in law and bring them all out to “The Creek” this Friday and Saturday night for the fastest fun around!

Creek County Speedway is a fast quarter mile oval located outside Sapulpa, Oklahoma on historic Route 66. Creek County Speedway has been bringing high octane excitement to race fans since 1986.
